The deadline for abstracts and registration forms is 25 January 2018. The symposium will involve the following topics:

I Categories and paradigms (analysis, re-construction of concepts, uncovering meanings)
Key discussion topics:

Original categories present in Vygotsky’s theory, their comprehension and „reverberation” in contemporary culture of education (in particular with regard to the  educational activity of a child in the early stages of schooling):

Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD), educational activities of a child, Higher

Mental Functions, scientific vs. spontaneous/colloquial concepts, language as a mediator between the learner and his development, psychological tools, mediating, psychological crisis and their sense, self-regulation, perezhivanie

II Developmental approach to education
Key discussion topics:

Creating supporting environment for learning, the concept of the child, „sensitive teacher”, scaffolding, developing independent thinking, learning, activities of the child (from activities with support to independent activities), designing developing learning

III The original methodology by Vygotsky
Key discussion topics:

Research into the dynamic developmental processes. Genetic experiment, designing a teaching experiment/ double stimulation method. CHAT-based research projects.

4. Poster session

Publication

Accepted papers will be published in a monograph in English or in Problems in Early Education journal PWE (14 points)

The Editorial Board has the right to refuse publication of abstracts which do not correspond to the problems of the conference, as well as those that do not meet the requirements of this CfP and the requirements for scientific publications.

The languages of the conference are English and Polish.

3) The conference fee options are as follows:

- participation in the conference: 120,00 euro (the fee covers the cost of: conference materials; 2 lunch meals, four coffee breaks; publication in conference proceedings);

• Conference fee for doctoral students: 90,00 euro
• Conference participation without presentation: 70,00 euro
• Conference dinner: 25 euro (please mark this option in the registration form)
