Review process

The review procedures for manuscripts submitted to the School - Profession - Labour Journal.

  • The Editor of the School - Profession - Labour periodical decides if the manuscript can be published or not, having checked whether the article relates to the Journal’s profile or not and if all the formal criteria described in the „Information for Authors” have been fulfilled.
  • Then, the article is sent to two independent expert Reviewers who conduct the peer review and who are not related to the scientific Institution the Author has affiliated”
  • The Author/s and Reviewers do not know one another’s identity (double-blind review process); in other cases the Reviewer signs the declaration of no conflict of interest, the “conflict of interest” being direct personal relationships between the Author and the Reviewer (especially second degree kinship and marriage), being each other’s subordinates or direct scientific collaboration during the two years prior to the review's submission date.
  • Written review contains an unambiguous decision of the Reviewer, concerning the conditions for publishing the paper or rejecting it.
  • The criteria for qualifying or rejecting the papers for publishing and possibly the review form are publicly available on the Journal’s website.
  • The names of Reviewers of particular articles of issues are not made public.
  • After the reviewing process, the Editorial boards decides upon accepting the manuscript for print or rejecting it, taking into consideration the final recommendations from the Reviewers.
  • If the Reviewer’s recommendation stated that the article should be corrected and reviewed again, the Editor sends the manuscript, after the Author has applied all the necessary corrections, to the same Reviewer.
  • The articles after the review process will be treated in a confidential way until being published.

The criteria of the article’s assessment are to be found in the „Review form” file.
