My main research interest can be broadly described as ecology and conservation genetics. I am involved in studies concerning beetles, honey bees and trees. Since hybridization became serious threat to the genetic integrity of many species, my current research focuses on introgression and assortative mating. The studied systems include: the imported and native honeybee subspecies, hermit beetles and several species of trees (oaks, English yew and beech).
