From 2021 to 2024, I have been engaged in collaborative research with numerous international scholars on the book project: Pride in Asia: Negotiating Ideologies, Localness, and Alternative Futures (Cambridge Elements in Language, Gender and Sexuality; Cambridge University Press). Additionally, I undertook editorial work with two colleagues on a volume entitled Signs of Conflict: Multimodal Dimensions (Discourse Approaches to Politics, Society and Culture; John Benjamins) and on a journal special issue Image [&] Narrative 25(3). I am also contributing to a research paper on the topic of humour and Buddhism in collaboration with a scholar from Taiwan. My participation in the above research collaborations has afforded me the opportunity to gain considerable insight from these esteemed scholars.
While my monograph is in preparation, I have commenced discussions with some scholars in the field. We have formulated a plan for future research collaborations involving two research projects, which will be focused on (1) the linguistic landscape of food and dietary practices across cultures; and (2) metaphors for humans, animals, and nature. I have secured the participation of several scholars in these endeavours.
