ŁUKASZ JUREŃCZYK – dr. hab., associate professor at KWU – the Head of the Department of Security Policy at the Faculty of Political Sciences and Public Administration. The Editor-in-chief of the scientific journal "World of Ideas and Politics". He graduated political science, European studies and business administration. Master of Kazimierz Wielki University, Jagiellonian University in Cracow and the University of Vienna. In 2009 he obtained a doctoral degree in humanities within the field of political science at Jagiellonian University, and in 2018 a postdoctoral degree in social sciences within the field of political science at Jagiellonian University. Since 2008, he has been working at Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz. He specializes in international relations and security policy. He is the author of the monographs: The Polish mission in Iraq. Implications for Iraq and Poland (2010), The war against the Taliban and Al-Qaeda. Afghanistan in 1994–2012 (2013), Polish mission in Afghanistan. The Polish Army in the NATO’s crisis response operation (2016), Poland in the North Atlantic Alliance.
