- Initiation of the scientific relations with institutions in post-Yugoslav countries. Official agreement has been signed with Serbian Institute of Contemporary History, unofficial cooperation is being held with institutions from Croatia and Slovenia.
- Main organizer of international science conferences in Bydgoszcz.
- Initiator of book exchange between mentioned institutions. Around 300 books from each side have been exchanged in 2018. Now are available at the University Library in “Balkan Collection”.
